Bluegrass Camping Cooking Toccoa River

We was camping last weekend in Dial Ga where my people are from. We pick some good music, done some fishing, and some good eatin! Here are a few of the highlights. Check out the smoker/grill that my friend made to cook the pork. He used a new horse needle to inject the pork with apple juice, needless to say it was very tasty. We also fish the river and then went up to the Rock Creek Hatchery to watch some kids fish the trout release. Downstream a bit there were folks fishing all over the top of each other like a madhouse. I bet those fish were so full of corn they wouldn’t hardly bite anything LOL!

Columbia Disc Record No.514 (7″) “Tenting To=Night On The Old Camp Ground” Vocal Quartette. Played on an unrestored Columbia Eclipse at 80 rpm with a N.O.S. Bagshaws Medium-Tone needle. If these are well received, I promise the next ones will be lit better! this recording dates from about 1901, this pressing is, I now believe, 1903 or so. It is annouced, unfortunately it is in poor condition and the first few grooves are very bad.
(2.2) Fred has big plans for his end of summer camping trip before he starts kindergarten, and looks forward to auditioning for the school play!
