What are some good and quiet beach camping spots in Southern Cali?

Tent camping in a quiet area…
There are a lot of good camp grounds between Solona Beach and Encinitas. My favorite is South Carlsbad State Beach just north of San Diego. During the winter season it's not crowded, it's above the waves and easy to get in and out of. Another one right near it is San Elijo State Beach. That way if you don't have reservations, there is another campground near by you could also try.

I went to San Onofre last summer, very nice. Great waves for boogie boarding, although I'm sure it'll be too chilly for that right now. And if you need tips on pitching a tent, here ya go, just wrote this…
