If you like onions, a tasty and easy recipe is:
1 onion
1 beef bouillon cube
Peel onion and scrape hole out of middle. Place bouillon cube in hole and wrap onion in tin foil. Cook packet over camp fire for 45 minutes or so. The result is a flavorful and tender baked onion. It’s delicious!

Grew up in BB! When camping with the Girl Scouts there, we made Hobo Bundles.
Bacon
Hamburger patty
onion
canned corn and beans (kidney or black) drained,
bbq sauce
Wrap in foil and cook in the coals of your fire. Killer flavors and you can customize. Works xcellent with precooked bacon or use leftover from breakfast so it’s not too greasy.

We fixed this thing at a church retreat one time & it turned out really good:
ground meat
raw vegetables (potatoes, carrots, onions)
seasoning
foil
Make the ground meat into small patties. Chop up the veggies into chunks. Season to taste–salt and pepper, or I would try Tony Chachere’s Cajun seasoning–it’s good on everything!
Wrap the meat & veggies in foil packets–either altogether, or in individual packets per serving) and place in coals on campfire.
Give it about 45mins to an hour while you do something else, then carefully get the packets out and open them up. Stick a fork in the potatoes to see if they’re done.
I would eat this with catsup, but it would also be good with canned mushroom soup gravy.

Well, when I went camping with my friends in July for a couple of nights (there was about 22 of us!) we ate:
-Cereal
-Pasta and pesto sauce (yum!)
-Baked beans on toast (toast cooked on fire using long sticks haha!)
-Fry ups
-Corn on the cob
-Jacket potatoes
-Sandwiches
-Barbecues with chicken, burgers etc. (this was on the 1st night because the meat wasn't easy to keep fresh even in the cool box!)
Never forget marshmallows and other snacks to keep you all ticking over between meals if needs be!
Also, we bought this huge block of cheese for about £5/$10 and we would put that on our meals too, like the pasta (we forgot a grater though sadly!) then we made a molten cheese volcano fire at the end of our trip with the leftover mouldy cheese!
Apologies for my random cheese story at the end.
Have fun!

Assuming that you will have a grill or a grate over a fire, potatoes are great! Double 2 big squares of heavy duty aluminum foil. Spray them with nonstick cooking spray. Cube potatoes with or without skins, add ham chunks, onion, cut carrots. Wrap tightly and cook for about 30 mins. on the grill or grate. We camp all of the time and we take just about everything. In coolers of course. Hope this one helps. Have Fun!!

This will be the most important purchase you ever make for a camping trip. You can make a n y t h i n g in it. Pancakes/waffles, grilled cheese, ham and cheese sammies etc. Kids love it and love to make their own meals in it. Fill it with corn bread mix and sliced weanies and instant corndogs
They are called "Hobo Pie Irons"
Enjoy.
Edit: These are better than the last link I posted.

Top Ramen Noodles. Boil the water, throw in the noodles and a left over hot dog ( cut in chunks). Quick, easy to make, and tasty.

Soup in packets to save space.
Mix soup with frozen veggies and add some meat chopped in small cubes ( you can cut these at home and freeze them ahead of time )
Hamburgers and hot dogs are good. You can buy a cooking grate for the burgers or use a mountain pier iron available at sporting good stores.Hot dog rods or forks can also be used for marshmallows. Make sure you have enough water depending on where you camp.Make sure you take an extra pair of shoes in the event the get wet.Extra change ofclothes or 2 and ALWAYS take a roll of toilet paper because you never know.

It depends on what you mean by easy camping recipes. I mean there are easy recipes that require actual cooking and preparation over a stove, grill or Dutch Oven, and there are the really simple instant meals that only require you to add hot water and wait a few minutes. Mountain House is one manufacturer of such instant meals. If you are going camping for the first time and want to spend more time exploring the outdoors than cooking, I’d suggest picking up a few packets of the Mountain House instant meals.
