Any one know of a good (cool) place to go camping in arizona?

Fossil Springs is BEAUTIFUL!!! You have to hike about 4 miles in & out, but it's worth it. It's near Payson, so it's also a lot cooler. Check out this web page for more info http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/coconino/recreation/red_rock/fossil-spgs-wild.shtml Here is another link to national forests… I am assuming that by "cool" you mean temp.- doesn't really matter, these are great places. http://www.fs.fed.us/recreation/map/state_list.shtml#Arizona Havasu Falls is very well known (and beautiful) but keep in mind that unless you want to hike in & out same day (you really don't want to) then you must make reservations pretty far in advance- they do have facilities in the canyon. Below I've also listed some additional sites to check out. The White mountains are nice and cool and very beautiful, lots of rivers & wildlife…great fishing. Have fun & enjoy!!

One more thought…. before making plans to do any camping in the forest right now, make sure you check out fire/camping restrictions on the forest service link I posted. Some forests are closed right now!
