where is a good Place to go camping in Colorado??

Posted in Colorado Camping  by admin on December 9th, 2008

i know its not warm enough here to go camping yet but i would like to know where is a good spot to go in colorado? that has a lake to swim in?

guenella pass its free. its in georgetown and its really nice up there. you will love it. there is also a lake but you have to go down the trail that you drove up. the camping spots are pretty secluded so you wont have to worry about being over crowded with people you dont know.

Even in the middle of July, lakes in Colorado are FREEZING cold. There are many places with hot springs that would be good choices. if you want to go to the Great Sand Dunes National park near Alamosa(Igreat place to visit in EARLY summer) , you could drive into Alamosa. They have a great pool there built over a hot springs…with no sulpher odor like some have. See 1st site and look under "plan your visit ' for camping info. The river that surrounds the dunes in spring and early summer is a blast to play in. There is another great place in the little town of Hooper near the Dunes.
