My b/f and I will be leaving from Cedar rapids Iowa on vacation to the florida keys, we are driving there, and camping along the way.

we currently camp at delaney park in salem but would like to find some new places. we mainly fish for bluegill and redear. we have a small boat with a trolling motor.
Hey your in my neck of the woods! Try Starve Hollow. Just stay on 135 N past Delany and its close to Seymour. Real nice lake and campground. You can also camp at Delany and hit Lake John Hay or Elkcreek Lake. (To get to John Hay' s boat ramp turn left instead of right where you turn to go to Delany, its called Pump Station Road, if you get turned around ask at the Bed Red bait barn.). Elk Creek is on 56 going towards Scottsburg. Nice lake, though camping is not available.
The Campground is just on the South shore of Lake Superior.

It would depend upon what you're looking for as far as activities. The State has lots of information available on their website. Reservations and more are available on the website below.
I prefer Ludington State Park, Ludington Michigan lots of sand, river for tubing, man made Hamlin Lake and Lake Michigan for swimming and fishing. Plenty of trails. Wal-Mart, Kmart, and other stores in town.
